On July 15, 2017, NXTSTEP Family Law, P.C. was awarded the 2017 Law Firm Pro Bono Award at the Alabama State Bar Annual Meeting.  The attorneys of NXTSTEP Family Law, P.C. have been providing assistance to Madison County Volunteer Lawyers Program client for the past several years.  During that time, NXTSTEP has donated over 533 hours of pro bono service to over 40 clients.  The NXTSTEP Family Law, P.C. firm has provided assistance with uncontested divorces, child support, visitation, and custody matters, helping clients feel like they are personally invested in the cases, and never that they were just doing a job.

The attorneys of NXTSTEP Family Law, P.C. always have a great attitude and truly believe that it is their obligation to help those in need.   They treat each and every MCVLP client with dignity and take the time to get to know them and truly understand their needs.  In so doing, they provide each and every MCVLP client they help with more than just legal assistance.  They make the clients feel valued.  Pro bono clients routinely rave about their work, stating that they are very thorough, take the time to answer their questions, and make them feel protected. These attorneys are the epitome of great volunteer lawyers because of the quiet, competent and unassuming manner in which they go about helping others.

In addition to providing direct service to clients, the attorneys at NXTSTEP Family Law, P.C. are active advocates for the MCVLP.  They are continually referring clients to the program for assistance.  Service to the under-privileged is a top priority in their practice.   Their generosity, creativity, and commitment to civil legal aid are second to none in Madison County, and are a critical element of continued access to justice in our community.
