MCVLP hosts a Wills for Heroes Clinic in partnership with the City of Huntsville Police Department
Every day, firefighters, police and emergency medical personnel devote their lives to serving their communities, and they are prepared to pay the ultimate price in the line of duty. The Wills for Heroes project was created to provide the legal community with a way to show its appreciation for the efforts and sacrifices of these brave men and women. Wills for Heroes offers first responders free basic estate planning services. This service is intended to give them peace of mind by knowing that their affairs are “in order” should the unthinkable occur.
The MCVLP was honored to host a Wills for Heroes Clinic in partnership with the City of Huntsville on November 13, 2018. Eleven attorneys provided assistance to over 25 first responders by preparing wills, power of attorney, and advanced medical directives on their behalf. Our volunteer attorneys indicated that they were proud to provide legal services to these outstanding men and women who put their lives on the line every single day. All of the first responders were extremely humbled and grateful for the services of our volunteer attorneys. The MCVLP looks forward to continuing this program in the near future.
